Dear Members; We are reaching out again to ask for more volunteers. Members of the Book & Author Committee have been busy looking for hotel locations, working with Hacienda del Sol to make the 2027 Book & Author great. We need volunteers – we have specific jobs that we are looking for people to help us plan and execute Book & Author. Listed below are the volunteer positions that need attention. Some of these positions may require only working the day of the event or putting in some work up till the day of the event. Publicity – 1. someone who will write articles for the local papers and more 2. are you active on Instagram – I would love someone to help promote the event on Instagram Opening Event Help - 1. Help plan the food 2. Coordinating the day Driving/Chauffeuring the authors – 1. Pick up the authors from the airport 2. Drive the authors to the airport 3. Drive the authors to and from the hotel to the event (if needed) Centerpieces – Book Sellers – 1. Help sell the authors’ books during the event (this requires several people to offer their assistance) Silent Auction – 1. Solicit restaurants, spas, specialty stores, friends who sell Pampered Chef, artists, etc. 2. Help with set-up of the auction 3. Cashiers for silent auction check out 4. Silent auction guards – watch over the tables and answer questions 5. Runners at the end of the auction to grab the items for the “winners” Swag – Please do not hesitate to get involved. Volunteering is a “win-win”- if you want to be happier, meet new people, have a sense of fulfillment – volunteering is for you!
